Kelly Smith is married to his wonderful wife, Betsy, and they are proud parents of five children and four grandchildren. He was born in Reno, Nevada, and served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Seattle/Spokane area from 1977 to 1979. He attended BYU and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design, ranking among the top 10 illustrators in his senior class nationwide. In 1992, he founded a digital printing company, becoming a pioneer in the field. He worked for various large companies across the country, including Apple, IBM, General Motors, Disney, Macy’s, Calvin Klein, The Gap, the National Gallery of Art, National Semiconductor, Universal Studios, Warner Bros. Studios, Lollapalooza, Elton John, Kid Rock, and many renowned rock groups. Additionally, he printed graphics for two Super Bowls, two Olympics, and numerous other companies. His work has reached audiences worldwide and has been featured in numerous films. He was a Toastmaster for 15 years and loves speaking. He began website design in 2004 and continues this work to this day. He has served as a Seminary teacher, Gospel Doctrine teacher, Elders Quorum instructor, Scoutmaster three times, High Councilor, a member of the Bishopric twice, Elders Quorum President, and Young Men’s President; he is currently the Stake Emergency Preparedness Specialist and the Ward Technology Specialist in charge of Zoom for each meeting. He has cherished every role he’s ever held. He worked with young men for 24 years, which he considers one of the most remarkable experiences of his life. Now, he enjoys spending time with his grandchildren and watching them grow up. This is true joy.
